The patina is a superficial colouring of the metal which involves various oxides applied to the heated bronze. This alchemy rests on the operator’s sensitivity and experience.
The colour is defined in close agreement with the artist.
This process saves centuries of aging and allows total control of the result.

Lost-wax art foundry requires the moulding of the original work in order to reproduce it in wax. This wax model, enclosed in a fireproof mould, will melt out during the baking process and leave its space to the molten metal. The sculpture is then cast in bronze following the age-old lost wax method.
